OUR STORY – Finding Hope Beyond Grief – facilitates healing through creative expression in a biblical framework anchored in the love of Christ.
2022 – The work has expanded to the Western States!
There was a lot of excitement as many AEF ladies gathered for 2 day of impacting workshops. (firstly at Balga EAC below). “We’re delighted to start Phase II now with the clinical authors and training facilitators, Keren Masters and Dr. Francine Riches who conducted workshops in Perth and Broome”. Some called it “a time of healing” and “this has been by far the best (workshop)”. The ladies felt so much hope and God’s love through this time. It clearly helped!
2020 – The AEFFYS partnered with ADM Anglican Deaconess Ministries to deliver training across the Eastern States to help women in local churches to become trainers in this field. The focus is on firstly dealing with their own Grief, Loss and Trauma and then helping others to do the same. The program grew out of workshops done by Keren Masters and Francine Riches which had a big impact in WA. This 2 day therapeutic program involves coming to terms with issues and prayerfully moving forward. A component is Art therapy which provides a safe space to process these matters in a culturally relevant context. The ladies are planning to progress it to a National program to help people from grass roots to help in their communities.
